Over the past year, Directwest has worked with SaskTel International to build them a new and more functional website. They have an enormous amount of content to share with businesses, which required a lot of pages and a few strategic conversations.
The first step for us was aligning SaskTel International’s expectations with our service model. Their vision involved complex architecture and more content than a potential customer would read. We helped them think about the site and content from an end user perspective – how could we make it easier for customers to find the right information? We helped them think about which content was most important to share. The end result was something better than they originally anticipated.
Our software allowed SaskTel International to access the backend of the site and add content as it became available. This gave them control over what content was used and the timelines for the project. Our Web Design Lead Blair Maki, then followed up by ensuring each page looked great.
This site is a great example of how Directwest works with customers to set realistic and accurate expectations. Their vision changed to align with those expectations, and the result was a great experience for them and us.
In the words of Michael Hordos, SaskTel International’s Marketing Manager, “Blair has shown amazing dedication, expertise, patience and creativity in helping us design a website to compete in a very complex industry. The design/creativity he provided took my designs to the next level, delivering a website beyond what I could imagine. I am very impressed. The website that Blair helped us develop provides us with an exciting brand refresh and enhanced identity.”
